Prevent whenever possible; Protect whenever not
Prevent whenever possible; Protect whenever not
Every time you access the news, there’s another one. It never ends. And there are actually far more active shootings than most people realize; those with lower casualty counts don’t merit much or any attention in the national news anymore. We at Counter Active Shooter Training have taken the knowledge and skills from our work with the military and federal clients and turned it into a program for citizens of corporate America.
Your Training
The training we offer to you has been painstakingly developed across decades of work and experience.
What sets us apart:

-
Your instructors (see more below) have decades of actually acting as active shooters in training at nuclear power plants, Navy bases and similar facilities. As a consequence they can provide instruction not available elsewhere.
-
We have studied hundreds of active shooter attacks to understand early warning signs, triggers, preparations, tactics, weapons, common mistakes, common responses, effective defense and ineffective response.
-
We have made it as un-scary as possible. We have found over time that many trainees find the subject to be unsettling, so we have made the training as friendly and accessible as possible.
-
Unlike the majority of training companies, we know how to accurately train you to be prepared because we have lived it, trained for it & prepared for it a thousand times over.
-
Your training is unique and practical. We have stripped away everything that does not apply to the real world.
-
It is not cookie-cutter. We tailor your training to the specifics of your business, your historic risks, and your physical facilities, among other several other factors.
-
Local police liaison. If your local department has the resources to do so, we meet with them to reduce the response timelines and give officers additional information relevant to their response.
Can half a day make a difference?
We frequently get the question: “If infantry basic training can take half a year, can half a day actually matter?”

The answer is: ABSOLUTELY YES!!

Most people simply don’t know where to start. The case studies show that when untrained individuals who are suddenly faced with the reality of a real threat, they go into a state of ineffective response. Our goal is to change that.

We will train you to:

-
Know and preempt the common, fatal mistakes.
-
Manage stress and maintain clear thinking.
-
Apply the strategies in the face of an active shooter, how to evaluate which to use in a given set of circumstances, and the details of making them work.
-
Know the early warning signs.
